It has proved interesting that the comments back from all corners of the globe regarding the economic climate have differed enormously.

The common thread though, is that as people prepare themselves, for what may happen, the older members all seem to be adopting bygone values.

It seems that in boom times we get a feeling of invincibility and as people predict what might happen they are feeling vulnerable. It is this feeling of vulnerabiliy that is creating the subconcious to prepare for a worst case scenario.

That scenario has no place for a loner and it is natural now for people to be looking at things totally differently. It is amazing how much more donations are made to charities in times of economic downturn. It does not make any sense that in boom times the Salvation Army struggle for funding and when people are facing a bit of a rough ride, they are inundated with donations.

People are now assesing what is important and all the baggage and rubbish that we store and buy over the years is being put into context and that is, that the stuff we buy and store over the years is usually baggage and rubbish.

I can in no way make any predictions as to what might happen, but I do know that adopting the attitude that we are all in it together and we must all help each other will make it a lot easier than worrying about what might happen.

If the only outcome from all this economic downturn is that we get back some old fashioned family values, then I for one say BRING IT ON.
